His expertise covers AML/CFT and sanctions, financial-crime risk assessments, governance and internal controls, data protection, regulatory readiness, and specialized capacity-building.

His professional journey spans Lebanon, Iraq, and Cyprus, where he led multi-jurisdictional compliance functions, managed supervisory and advisory missions, and supported institutions operating under heightened regulatory expectations. Wissam’s contributions include participation in the MENA-FATF mutual evaluation of Lebanon’s banking sector, collaboration with national authorities, and active engagement with international training bodies such as ACAMS and the Union of Arab Banks. He has delivered specialized technical training to both financial and non-financial sectors, helping professionals deepen their understanding of financial-crime risks and regulatory obligations.
